BBC Proms at Printworks London
BBC Proms, the original music for the masses, came to Printworks this year with an operatic spectacular conceived by countertenor Anthony Roth Constanzo. He combined baroque masterpieces by Handel with a series of works by Philip Glass, inviting international artists of all forms to collaborate in this unique event.
Presenting: The Beams
Broadwick Live presents the Beams, the Centre for New Culture in the heart of London’s Royal Docks. The Beams is set to open in October 2022 with an inaugural season of music programmed by Broadwick Live in partnership with LWE, reuniting the team that opened Printworks London in 2017.
Filming The Batman at Printworks London
Broadwicks flagship venue was transformed into a supervillain’s decadent nightclub for the production of The Batman. The location of the film’s most riveting action scenes, The Iceberg Lounge captures the unique atmosphere of the former printing factory in scenes featuring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz and Colin Farrell.
The Smile: Live Broadcast at Magazine London
From Friday 28th to Sunday 30th January, The Smile played three consecutive live shows within twenty-four hours to a global audience live from BWL’s Magazine London. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and multi-instrumentalist John Greenwood alongside Sons of Kemet’s Tom Skinner delivered a music masterpiece to a global audience live. A small selection of guests attended the performances in person, while a larger portion of the audience watched via the stream and a select few cinemas.
